Certification For The New Wooden Window Profile MR-IV 78
Certified wood profiles suit perfectly both modern and historic facades (that are typical for Faro, Lisbon and Porto and others).
Working for several months in close cooperation with the engineers from UC’s IteCons– the Institute for Research and Technological Development in Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability –our window was tested under the hardest settings, as we wanted to make sure it was designed to endure the most difficult weather conditions, ranging from heavy rain and wind to sun and sea water exposure.
Certified wood profiles suit perfectly both modernand historic facades.
According to the lead engineer Jorge Silvathat conducted the tests, “these were the best results this institute ever had for a wood window in Portugal”:
- Air Permeability – 4;
- Windload resistance – C3;
- Watertightness – 5A;
- Thermal insulation – 1,35.
The IteConsis an institute at the University of Coimbra that conducts research work, training and testing but also offers consultancy services, working as the dynamic interface of knowledge and information transmission between the university and the industry.
Following the tests, a special certification was obtained for the MR-IV 78 window and we are very proud to be able to offer it to our clients with the certainty that it will surpass all their expectations.
